H.264 is probably the future in video compression!
As a result, more and more devices are using that format: iPod/iPhone, Apple TV, Sony’s PSP…

iSquint is a free application that converts nearly any video format to H.264, and the results are very good!

TubeTV is a free program in the shape of a web browser (based on Safari).
The search field looks for content on Google Videos or YouTube (depending on your preferences).

Tube Search

Once the page with the video content is showing, you’ll be able to save it to your hard drive, but TubeTV doesn’t stop there! After downloading the video, it converts it to Apple TV and iPod video format to make it easier for you to watch your favorite videos on the support you’d like.

Tired of WMA and WMV? Convert them!

I want all my movies to be .mov or .m4v, I’m disgusted every time I receive a .wmv movie or .wma audio file.
A developer (Patrice Bensoussan) “heard my prayers” and created two great applications: Easy WMA and Easy WMV.

All you have to do to convert .wma to .aac or .wmv to .m4v is to drag the files in a small window, the conversion time is fast and the video/audio quality is the same than the original file.
