Will Steve Jobs be there for a Keynote to kick off WWDC’08 or not?
A lot of rumors around the guy with the black shirt, white sneakers and blue jeans, nobody will know the answer before june 9th.
The only thing that is very probable is the official announcement of the iPhoe 3G…

If you’re impatient, you can get the WWDC’08 countdown widget, it’s here!
PS: Fortune’s Apple 2.0 blog received confirmation from Apple’s public relations that Steve Jobs would be delivering the keynote speech at Apple’s Wordwide Developer’s Conference on Monday, June 9th.

iTunes 7.6.2, QuickTime 7.4.5, FrontRow 2.1.3, Keynote 4.0.3 and AirPort Utility 4.2.5 are available from the Software Update.
It seems Apple is fixing some security issues with QuickTime:
Apple is quietly adding several key anti-hacker security features into its flagship QuickTime media player as part of a deliberate plan to reduce the effectiveness of malicious exploits
eWeek writes.
All of these updates fix security, performance and stability issues.
I guess, we are getting used to have a FrontRow update with every iTunes & QT update.

A few bug fixes to iWork and OS X compatibility fix for iWeb. As always, it’s better make updates.
The keynote address held by Steve Jobs in the ‘08 edition of MacWorld is finally available as a free podcast on the iTunes Store.

When I started the documents I’m working on (these days) on the 3 modules of iWork ‘08 (Pages, Keynote and Numbers) I was impressed on how fast these applications start, how powerful they are and how slick the design is.

I know there are a lot of Mac users who like Harry Potter (that’s one of the reasons why EA Games showed a preview of their next Harry Potter game on Macintosh at Apple’s WWDC 07 Keynote to announce their return to the Mac).
So here’s a slideshow screensaver of Harry Potter to download for OS X.

At WWDC 07 Keynote, when Steve Jobs introduced the 64 bits Macintosh Family and as you can see in this capture there is no Mac Mini.
It’s indeed the only Mac with no Intel Core 2 Duo: 64 bits.
Will the Mac Mini disappear?
I won’t repeat what you all have seen on Steve Jobs’s Keynote and what you’ve read on Apple.com but here are some of my views on Apple new stuffs…
- iChat: I was really hoping and expecting for iChat to handle MSN and Yahoo! but it’s clear: iChat IS AIM, No MSN and/or Other IM support…

- Safari for Windows: just like iTunes for Windows helped Apple to conquer some PC users for the iPod, Safari will probably be the bridge to iPhone
- Core Animation: the Leopard OS will really be beautiful, great special effects (stacks), amazing transparency effects (menu bar) and reflection (the new dock).

These are the 3 points that I wanted to add
