As always, the Apple Expo is taking place at Paris these days in Hall 5 of the Parc des Expositions at Porte de Versailles.
And the “key” event was the release of the newest version of Microsoft Office for Mac.

I was complaining and complaining again and again about iPhoto ‘06, I even stopped using it so much I was bored of that super slow application.

When I saw the iPhoto ‘08 demo by Steve Jobs, I thought: “It will be slower”. All these special effects, magnifications, etc…

Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac Delayed

Microsoft Corp. will delay the release of Office 2008 for Apple Inc.’s Macintosh computers until the middle of January 2008, in order to fix lingering bugs in the software.

The software maker previously said the new suite, which is to include Microsoft (nasdaq: MSFT - news - people ) Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the Entourage e-mail program, would go on sale sometime in the second half of 2007.

A contest has been launched by the ESA for the best 10 tracks playlist for an iPod which will join the ISS in 2008.
The winner is a 14 years old girl from Norway “Therese Miljeteig”.

According to Jobs: Gore would be president

Steve Jobs recently told Time Magazine that Al Gore can win the 2008 presidential election if the pro-environmental Apple board member wants to:

If he ran, there’s no question in my mind that he would be elected,

said Jobs, referring to Gore.

But I think there’s a question in his mind, perhaps because the pain of the last election runs a lot deeper than he lets most of us see.
