Back: Apple’s September 9th’s Event, iPhone Nano 4G & Chrome

Sorry for the absence, I was very busy the previous days!

Let’s go back MacAmouring (Loving our Mac) with some rumors first of all.
As I said many times, I’m not pro rumors, but these ones are more likely than unlikely.
iTunes 8.0, iPhone Firmware version 2.1 and maybe a new iPhone Nano.
The September 9th Apple Event: “Let’s Rock” will be more based on the Apple devices (iPod and iPhone as we said) than on the Mac (Computers and OS).
More audience as a result, that’s a sure thing, a Windows user will be interested with the latest iTunes version as well as the latest iPhone firmware’s version.
It’s sad, I wanted to hear about a new iLife’09 and iWork’09, some more on the upcoming version of Leopard (Snow Leopard).

Many pictures of the iPhone Nano 4G are available on the web.
The most “possible” one is the one under (on my opinion):

How I managed with Microsoft Office 2008 12.1.1 problems?

Posted on June 26th, 2008 in Humor, Macintosh Tips & Help, Microsoft | View Comments

You’d answer: “download and install the update”? Too easy!!!
Here are the steps I followed to make it.

  • Step One: delete Office 2008!

I used AppZapper to download the suite and its preferences, then, I cleaned up the Application Support folder (in the Library folders) from the Microsoft folders.
I also deleted the Microsoft User Data folder in the Documents folder.

Apple Gives Developers Safari 4 Preview

Posted on June 11th, 2008 in Safari | View Comments

Apple has given developers a preview copy of Safari 4 via the Apple Developer Connection website.
Safari 4 Developer preview is available for Mac OS X Leopard, Tiger and Microsoft Windows.
I downloaded this “small” package of 26.8 MB and it’s the same application of course, same shape.
This preview is also available for Tiger and Windows.

Safari 4 adds the ability to Save a webpage as an application. Also spotted in the Safari preferences is the ability to specify whether new tabs or windows open with; home page, same page, empty page or bookmarks.
Here’s a screenshot of Safari 4:

PS: the small iPod button is an application, CosmoPod.

Mac OS 10.5.3 in the Core of the Problems

Posted on May 25th, 2008 in Leopard | View Comments

The next update for Leopard that will probably be released on WWDC, will bring 220 bugs fixes.
But it seems the core of the OS has been fixed, as a result, we should expect a great and materially innovative update!

iPhone to be available in Canada

Posted on April 29th, 2008 in Apple Hardware, iPhone, iPhone 3GS & iPhone 4 | View Comments

It was officially announced that Apple’s iPhone will be available in Canada later this year, in collaboration with Roger.

We may think that it’s relativily late (the iPhone was released June 2007 in the USA  and late 2007 in europe), but the Asian markets especially Japan are still waiting for an official date.

Microsoft Office 2008, part 2: Entourage

While Apple Mail loads in a glimpse of an eye, Entourage feels the need to show you off it’s brand new splash screens for a couple of seconds…

Entourage 2008 Splash
Well, after a first look at Entourage, I told myself “why is it so complicated?”, look at all those buttons, columns, text, icons.. It’s for me impossible to talk about Entourage without comparing it to Apple Mail…
