Mac OS X doesn’t and will never support NTFS write but this desperate situation isn’t impossible to fix… thank God.
More… the solution is easy!
All you need is to install two small packages: MacFUSE and NTFS-3G.

You’ll be surprised like I was to see the miracle happen after you restart!

Bonus Trick: as a result of this trick, you will be able to modify the Boot Camp disk icon over your desktop…

The boot Camp partition (NTFS system file) is, as many of you have noticed, read only.
As a result, you can’t rename it, change its icon, delete a file from it…

  • To rename your bootcamp partition, just boot to Windows and rename the Hard Drive from there (from the Windows explorer).
  • To hide your bootcamp HD, just change the name of the Windows Hard Drive (see above) but this time, type a dot (.) before the name of the HD.

Example: “.Vista”

This is due to the fact some drivers are missing.

To solve this problem (and some keyboard functions including ejecting a disk), all you have to do is:

  1. Boot on Bootcamp
  2. Insert Leopard’s DVD once Vista started
  3. This will automatically begin installation of the Boot Camp 2.0 drivers
