Well known and annoying error messages that appears on iTunes when you try to unlock/jailbreak an iPhone.
Here are the steps I followed to unlock an iPhone (factory settings), two friends helped me for this: Kofster and Houssem).

Leopard Updated to 10.5.6 for PPC’s and Intel’s

Posted on December 20th, 2008 in Apple Hardware, Leopard, Mac OS X | 1 Comment »

The best operating system in the world has just been updated to version 6 (Mac OS 10.5.6) for both Intel & PPC platforms, it seems Apple still hasn’t abandoned (but it will happen very soon) the PPC users of Leopard. Both updates are the same size 190 mb, and for the first time, both are displayed the same way in the Software Update list of updates (usually a (PPC) is written for the PPC update and an (Intel) for the latest Intel based Macintosh computers).

Back: Apple’s September 9th’s Event, iPhone Nano 4G & Chrome

Posted on September 6th, 2008 in Rumors, iPhone & iPhone 3G, iPod & iPod Touch, iTunes | No Comments »

Sorry for the absence, I was very busy the previous days!

Let’s go back MacAmouring (Loving our Mac) with some rumors first of all.
As I said many times, I’m not pro rumors, but these ones are more likely than unlikely.
iTunes 8.0, iPhone Firmware version 2.1 and maybe a new iPhone Nano.
The September 9th Apple Event: “Let’s Rock” will be more based on the Apple devices (iPod and iPhone as we said) than on the Mac (Computers and OS).
More audience as a result, that’s a sure thing, a Windows user will be interested with the latest iTunes version as well as the latest iPhone firmware’s version.
It’s sad, I wanted to hear about a new iLife’09 and iWork’09, some more on the upcoming version of Leopard (Snow Leopard).

Many pictures of the iPhone Nano 4G are available on the web.
The most “possible” one is the one under (on my opinion):

Cake 2.0

Posted on September 2nd, 2008 in iPhone Applications, iPod & iPod Touch | No Comments »

Cake 2.0 is the name of a sublime iPhone Theme.

It works with the app called WinterBoard (only available for jail-broken iPhone under Cydia).

It has a huge number of icons ( which means most of the popular iPhone apps have a custom icon) and a very unique style.

New iPhone Ads at Apple.com

Posted on August 22nd, 2008 in Ads & Commercials, iPhone & iPhone 3G | No Comments »

A set of new iPhone ads explaining twice how the AppStore works, how you get your emails pushed to your iPhone (didn’t hear the word MobileMe but I did hear “push“), what is the 3G…. A bit boring, but Apple’s strategy is here: selling more over 40 million iPhones in the next 12 months, so we can’t blame them on that..

IBM Lotus Note is Coming for the iPhone

Posted on August 13th, 2008 in iPhone & iPhone 3G, iPhone Applications | No Comments »

If some had doubts on the ability of the iPhone to be a business machine for managers, and “Blackberry” users… Here’s the answer: IBM Lotus iNote “Ultralite”.

The application has been developed on the Web Access structure of Lotus Domino.

Thanks to this application, the users will be available to access their emails, calendars and contacts from the iPhone’s interface. As a result, the iPhone will be able to communicate with the 2 big IT server’s Standards: Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus (but also with the Open Source Zimbra).

For more screenshots and informations visit the IBM Lotus Notes Ultralite website.

Someone Please Call 999

Posted on August 10th, 2008 in iPhone & iPhone 3G | No Comments »

“I Am Rich” has been removed from the Apple Store.
Its price? Only $999!
8 persons purchased the application (6 from the USA, 1 from France and 1 from Germany), 2 of them made the purchase by error (or to “joke”) and have been refunded by Apple after Armin Einrich’s agreement.
Developer Einrich isn’t happy to see his application out of the Apple Store, probably because of the fact he made $5,600…

Thoughts on iPhone 3G, 2.0 and unlocking solutions.

Good day people. I’m a new blogger here. I’m not too good with introductions and anecdotes so here goes.

I’m Kofi Blades from a cool tropical island in the Caribbean- Trinidad and Tobago. Hédi is a good friend of mine though we never met. I’ve been following the iPhone development for a while after owning several iPhones;  unlocking, jailbreaking, updating, activating, restoring, unbricking, modifying and customizing- you name it and now here I am. After scouring the blogosphere, endless RSS feeds and enlightening through my own experience, I hope my efforts are appreciated as I strive to be grammatically correct, factual and helpful as possible. Thanks everyone.

There are a lot of products and software that claim to do unlocks but most of them don’t. The only true unlocking tools that ever existed were iPhoneSIMFree’s software that withstood all future firmware updates, anySIM that was released by the DevTeam that unlocked iPhones, and even if there was a problem and a user felt the need to restore, one did not have to reunlock the iPhone. The same goes to Nate True’s iBrickrIndependence, Zibri’s command line and graphical UI, ZiPhone and Pepjin & Francis’ iLiberty+ and Drakenza’s iDemocracy.
