“Get a Mac” New Ads and Microsoft’s Reaction
22 August 2008, Hedi |
Eight new “Get a Mac” ads are available at Apple.com.
“Get a Mac” ads are getting more aggressive (in the message behind the ads: Apple is clearly trying to take advantage of Vista’s disaster, which is logical) than ever.
Especially the new “Off the Air” (and “Throne”), in which the Mac Genius announces to the PC , they’re helping switchers easily transfer their files from their old PC to their brand new Mac.
Even, retired Bill Gates will probably be back in a $300 million ad campaign featuring Jerry Seinfeld.
The goal is to counter “Get a Mac” ads.

The MS counter with Jerry and Bill was awful. They made this commercial much like they make their browsers . Crappy. The Get Mac ads have nothing to worry about if the first commercial is an indicator of what’s to come. Bad humor and no substance is the M.O. so far on it.
