Twitter and Amazing Out Of the Box Integration

Short intro: Twitter is a system that allows you to “blog” your status by many ways, so it can be sent to your twitter home page, friends can follow them and much more!

- First thing to do is to create an account at Twitter.com.
- Notify Twitter of your status update: you can do it via sooo many ways:
- with iChat (.mac accounts supported), AIM or Gmail by following the steps in twitter’s website, then you’ll have a new budy called “twitter IM” you can message to notify him you’re doing something new:
- with your mobile phone (step by step in the Twitter’s website too)
- Twitterrific (which has Growl support); you can hide/show the application just by clicking on the little birdie on the menubar):
- with Facebook, by installing the Twitter application to your Facebook account
- by downloading and installing an AppleScript called “iChat status to Twitter script”, you can download it here.
- with iChat (.mac accounts supported), AIM or Gmail by following the steps in twitter’s website, then you’ll have a new budy called “twitter IM” you can message to notify him you’re doing something new:
- Show off your Twitter Status:
- your status is by default displayed on your Twitter’s homepage and it can also be displayed on a public timeline, people can follow your status update via your homepage; you can also invite people/friends to watch your status updates
- installing a widget (called Badge) on your website (see live demo in my Macamour.com personal page)
- when you install the Facebook application, a notification will be displayed on your Facebook each time there’s a new event, like this
