You’ll find the tutorial after the jump, so click on “read more”… ![]()
Here’s the how to enable that interface:
- Go to QS’s preferences>plugins and enable the “Cube Interface” (with a developper’s folder icon):
- Go back to preferences in the preferences window and enable the Cube interface:
- That’s all, now “invoke” QuickSilver with ^space and you’ll see the Cube

Heidi,
This is an excellent QuickTip for QS! Your directions were very easy to follow, even for me a n00b when it comes to QS. Are there more QuickTips in the future?
MacDeviant
Aww thanks MacDeviant… by the way, just wanted to say that it’s HEDI (4 letters).
I really fell in love with QuickSilver this time. When I first tried this application I was “heavy” using spotlight, so I didn’t see the aim to use QS, but now I’m really addicted!
I apologize for the incorrect spelling of your name. I have been using QS for about 4 months, and my fingers automatically hit CMD+Space all by themselves. I still haven’t been able to configure iTunes but am hoping for a tip like yours to help me. (hint, hint) Like you, I am now addicted to QS and PathFinder.
I still can’t take of the “command+shit+a” (h, and u) and “command+space” shortcuts from my mind and replacing all of them with the “^space” one, but I’m getting used to it…
I’m preparing a new post (a tutorial) like this one QS related
Great, I can’t wait to see what else I can learn in QS. The manual is very confusing and not user friendly. Maybe you should consider doing a PDF document for hints to QS?
