Ok, this is QuickSilver for OS X the superb application launcher.
Download the application here. This application will make you forget OS X’s Spotlight or LaunchBar so much it’s fast, sexy and reliable.

After installing the application, you have to “call” it each time you need it with ctrl+space (^space). The QS will appear, let’s say you want to open iTunes: start typing “iTunes” once the app is displayed press “tab” to pick an action and choose “open”. I let you discover the full features yourself.
Warning: Once you try it you won’t be able to stop!
