John Appleseed Apple often refers to, might be “Johnny Appleseed”.
Johnny Appleseed, born John Chapman (September 26, 1774–March 18, 1845), was an American pioneer nurseryman who introduced the apple to large parts of Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. He became an American legend while still alive, largely because of his kind and generous ways, his leadership in conservation, and also because of the symbolic importance of apples.
He was also a missionary for the Church of the New Jerusalem, which is based on the theological writings of Emanuel Swedenborg.

Johnny Appleseed is probably the character that appears on Apple’s first logo.

I guess it’s rather Mr. Isaac Newton on the logo, as written on the side…
The guy who “theorized” gravity, because he saw an apple fall (on his head, according to the legend…)
Thanks for the heads up on JA, I always wondered who he was. I even though he was in fact Johnny Ive…
Or, the figure in the original logo was Newton, about to get knocked on the noggin by the Apple in the tree.
i thought the person was newton… you know, the apple falling… and the infamous “newton” from apple… thats what i heard
Yeah it’s right, but indeed, it’s the metaphor of Appleseed I saw in the image, but of course it’s Isaac Newton.
