I was complaining and complaining again and again about iPhoto ‘06, I even stopped using it so much I was bored of that super slow application.

When I saw the iPhoto ‘08 demo by Steve Jobs, I thought: “It will be slower”. All these special effects, magnifications, etc…

iPhoto ‘08 with Warholl’s Apple

But like any Apple fan I went to a store and bought myself a copy of iLife ‘08, after installing the suite, I immediately started iPhoto… What a Surprise!
Impressive! The application loads faster than ever, it’s more intuitive, it’s graphically beautiful, the animations, the new “events” system (photos organized in folders called “events”; in precedent iPhoto versions it was “film roll”). While iPhoto ‘06 was unable to manage correctly a 200 photos library, iPhoto ‘08 runs flawlessly with more than 1,500 photos. Don’t know what Apple did with this application, but they did the right thing!

What about my fears? They’re gone, if you frequently visit the blog you may have noticed that in almost all my Mac’s screenshot there is no iPhoto icon in my dock, now with iPhoto ‘08 it is back.
