Apple Releases Three My iTunes Widgets
14 August 2007, Hedi |
iTunes is giving you an effortless way to keep your friends up-to-date with your favorite music, TV shows, movies, and more.[...]Use My iTunes to share your top reviews, favorite artists, and new music, movies, and TV shows from the iTunes Store with anyone who visits your site, states Apple on the My iTunes page.
At present time there are only three widgets available:
- My iTunes Purchases: lists the most recent music, music videos, TV shows, and movies the user purchased from the iTunes Store
- My iTunes Reviews: lists the music, music videos, TV shows, and movies the user rated on the iTunes Store.
- My iTunes Favorites: artists whose music the user purchased the most from the iTunes Store.
All of them are flash-based and may be placed on a user’s blog, Web site, or social networking profile. Also, the My iTunes feed may be used with any standard RSS or ATOM feed reader.
In order to activate the service the user must enter his iTunes account and enable the functionality. Because the widgets work based on information stored into the user’s account, he must also give Apple consent to look into for that information.
