Wordpress Plugins Installed in Mac Amour
9 July 2007, Hedi |
Someone requested me for it, so here it is, the list of the Wordpress Plugins used in this blog:
- Akismet: spam killer (bundled with Wordpress Free)
- All in One SEO Pack: Search Engine Optimizer
- Dagon Design Form Mailer: the mail form you see in the “Write for Us” page
- Dagon Design Sitemap Generator: it’s the sitemap you see when you click on the .mac globe on the bottom of the blog
- Disable Wordpress Widgets: I had to install this one because the blog is based on K2 and K2 isn’t widget ready but it has its own Sidebar Manager (this plugin is very useful for those who are experiencing troubles with K2’s Sidebar Manager)
- Enforce WWW. Preference: it enables 301 redirects to queries with /index.php and enforce use/non use of www
- FeedBurner Smith: it detects all the ways to access your original Wordpress feeds and redirects them to Feedburner’s
- Google Sitemaps: to create a Google compliant sitemap of the blog
- Gravatars: you see Gravatars user’s (like me) avatar thanks to this plugin
- Gregarious: Social Bookmarking system (it generates the “share this” little link you see after each and every post)
- NextGen Gallery: generates cool Web 2.0 like special effects for galleries (examples)
- Quoter: thanks to this plug in you can quote a selected text in the comments field
- Subscribe to Comments: it generates that little box in the bottom of the comment field, which gives you the possibility to subscribe to a conversation by entering your mail address
- Text Link Ads: if you have a TLA account and want to earn money by blogging, this plugin is for you
- Wordpress DataBase Backup: to safely backup your database in one click
- Wp-Cache: this plugins optimizes the display speed of your blog thanks to its cache module
- WP-Users Online: displays a counter of online visitors (like the one you see on the bottom of the sidebar)
- WP-Grins: displays those clickable smileys you see over the comments field
Hope this complete list will be useful to the person that requested it from me
(and to all the visitors who have a Wordpress blog).
