… no 64 bits Mac Mini?

At WWDC 07 Keynote, when Steve Jobs introduced the 64 bits Macintosh Family and as you can see in this capture there is no Mac Mini.
It’s indeed the only Mac with no Intel Core 2 Duo: 64 bits.
Will the Mac Mini disappear?

The Mac mini only comes with a Core Duo chip, not a Core 2 Duo, so it’s not a 64-bit. This doesn’t necessarily mean that Apple is canning the mini.
Here are for me the reasons why Apple shouldn’t “improve” the Mac Mini (maybe I’m wrong):
- Apple maybe don’t like this machine, they probably have been forced to create a “low price” Mac by shareholders,
- if the Mac Mini becomes too powerful he will be a competitor to the iMac and MacBook (that Apple prefers to sell)
- A very advanced Mac Mini will be a good alternative to the Apple TV. The Apple Mac Mini is twice the price of an Apple TV which is better to connect to a TV (for video playback).
