Hi, recently bought an activation code for XTorrent but i doesn’t seem to be working, everytime I enter in the code the window just pops up again counting down the hour. This is very weird considering I just bought the code a few minutes beforehand. Is anyone else having this trouble?
I didn’t have that problem, as soon as I purchased a license for Xtorrent and entered it in the field it worked and displayed the “Activation is Complete” pop up.
Maybe can you try to get your activation code once again by email via the “activation code redelivery tool”: http://xtorrent.com/code.php
Or contact directly the developer David Watanabe from Xtorrent by clickin on “Help>Send Feedback Email”, I’m sure he will answer…

Hey, after retrieving the code, could you share it with us here? It is really stupid how something like XTorrent has to charge this much for a product that is already stealing music, videos, etc. So, it wouldn’t really be wrong to share the code perhaps? Did you get the code yet?

I love Watanabe’s apps, and I use them all daily. I don’t really want to say a word to those who are looking for serials for his appz because I purchased licenses for each and every one of them.
I mean, I’m not against and I’m not pro what they are doing. It’s all up to them to do the right choice.

Hi Globi i updated xtorrent but i noticed that when you open update they say you are on the latest version when you are not and also they say $9 extra to get constant updates which is another con all you have to do is download latest version and replace (as you kindly suggested ) it seems these guys are providing a bad and ripoff service which encourages me to stick with free source and sharing which is what i thought it was all about in the first place i.e. i don’t mind paying and giving it out to people who are a bit tight on money as i feel my money went further

Hi Dave, I have Little Snitch: Got it once when I was worried about getting connected to a software manufacturer, whose program I was using with a filched code.
I turned it off about 18 months ago and haven’t felt the need to turn it on again.
Firefox asks me if I approve of an address I haven’t got a security certificate for,
so I think it’s probably not necessary to run Little Snitch. I stand to be corrected though, I’m not all that experienced in the way all this works….

I downloaded xtorrent simply trying to find a BT client that could use selective downloading(azereus blows a dick) just to find that they are trying to rip me off. Its a shame because xtorrent seems like good software, but I think Ill pass and use another BT client without selective downloading until utorrent for mac comes out. Thx for charging me to be a mac user douche bags.

I don’t understand how the code given works, I just insert code in the window after downloading v.1.1 Build 50 but doesn’t work. Is there a procedure to follow. ? It sound stupid but doesn’t work for me. When it says, Xtorrent is unregistered and activate licence I insert code given but doesn’t work.

I thought that somehow D W had a means of disabling his program, but today there was a notice on 2 downloads:
Tracker error: TheBox.bz: this torrent client is banned
When I go to: thebox.bz I can not sign up to find out the reason for their ban, because you can only sign up by invitation now…..

although I am a big believer in open source (my main computer is running Linux), I also believe in getting paid for the work that you do, but 25 dollar for this app seems a bit steep.
I bet you that if the developer would make this below 5 dollar, it would sell like hotcakes, and probably get him more money in the end.
right now it’s not worth it, and transmission torrentspy.com will do the trick just fine for free, thank you.
so, why am I posting here for a code request?
well, as said before, my main machine is linux, so I only use torrent download on the old laptop once in a while so 25 is way too much to pay for for me. but I found out that the one thing I really like about xtorrent, is the tab function that I have set to show the search result in IMDB.. so I would like to benifit of using that without that damned registration window that you can’t click away..

I purchased the code, however i didn’t get ANY confirmation code. I emailed D W but he’s not too friendly. He suggested I should use the code recovery tool but it looks that my email address it’s not in the database. I payed through PayPal.
